Race Information
This is one of the most beautiful and well-known 30K and 10 Mile
courses in the Mid-West.
This is a great race to prepare runners for the Grandma's
Marathon or for Grandpa's 1/2 Marathon. Both courses are
certified, flat and quiet. Many state and national records have
been broken at this event and we are expecting many more to fall
in the years to come!! Our numbers
have been growing and we are hoping for record number in 2010!
Late and Race Day Registration:
For those of you who are registering for the race at the last
minute, we have a few different options:
- Register at the St.
Paul Running Room on Friday, May 21st, 1 - 6 pm
- Register at WBL High
School in White Bear Lake on Race Day 6:45-7:45 am
Parking
Parking is
on the East and West sides of the North Campus high school.
There is also parking south of the school, on the south side of
the bus lot. More parking is available on 12th Street
and Division Street north of the school. Directions and parking
areas are designated on the
Directions/Parking link at the top
of the page.
Course Information
The 30K course goes around three lakes in the White Bear Lake
area and the 10 Mile goes around Bald Eagle Lake. Even the 5K
run is next to the lake for over a third of the event!!
The start
line will be on Division Street just NE of the high school.
There will be mile markers at every mile and water stops about
every 2 miles. The finish line will be at Decoy’s Restaurant
parking lot.
Background
2010 is
the 14th year for the Northern Lakes Run. A portion of the
course around Bald Eagle Lake was part of the Twin Cities
Marathon. The peacefulness and beauty of the lake makes for a great
run!
