- We are giving $1 per runner to the
Children's Cancer
Research Fund for this event.
Both of these runs are very
unique because runners are bussed to the start in Minnesota and
run back to the finish in Hudson. The 1/2 marathon runners will
enjoy some very scenic views as they run through the historic
city of Stillwater, run through the St. Croix River Valley and
then over the highway 94 bridge via the running trail on the
south side of the bridge. This is a must race for your annual
calendar. We had over 1,200 runners last year and are planning
for almost 2,000 this year. All runners receive a technical
shirt for finishing!!
Background
The race was started and has continued to
emphasize the rivalry between Minnesota and Wisconsin. This
rivalry has a long history and we enjoy the competition this
event has on race day with the Minnesota people claiming victory
every year. Hopefully, Wisconsin runners will rise to the
occasion and claim the Gopher to Badger trophy!
